dc.description.abstract In this thesis, the transient free convection in micropolar fluid with heat generation and constant heat flux is discussed. The governing equations are set. To solve them two different techniques namely, the finite difference method and Laplace transform method, has been adopted. Before use of the finite difference method the governing equations are made dimensionless. The solutions obtained are plotted and discussed. The values proportional to the coefficient of skin friction and Nusselt number are also tabulated and discussed. The Laplace transform method is also used to the set of equations which are linearized by dropping the convective terms. For inverse Laplace transform Mathematica is used. The solutions of the linearized form of the equations are also plotted and discussed. en_US
